IT investment keeps Prohire on the move

We’re delighted to be reinforcing our credentials in the automotive industry after winning an important new contract with one of the UK’s fastest growing Commercial Vehicle Contract Hire companies, Prohire Plc.

A major operator in the commercial vehicle contract hire sector, Prohire provides specialist Contract Hire, Repair and Maintenance, Rental, Accident Management and Fleet Management solutions throughout the UK.

When we began working with the Prohire in 2015, our aim was – and still is – to ensure that its IT infrastructure has scale and pace in-line with the current and predicted growth of the business. Most recently, we’ve been carrying out a software upgrade to provide additional functionality for the highly successful ‘QuickQuote’ facility, which will further streamline both the quotation and order processes.

The system enables Prohire staff to fine-tune a Contract Hire or fixed cost Repair and Maintenance quotation taking into consideration how a customer operates and if the overall package is accepted, the system produces all the required contractual documents at the sales order stage. As well as the ability to link to credit checking facilities, ‘QuickQuote’ also feeds into Prohire’s main IT infrastructure system for seamless accounting.

DBL has also introduced additional flexibility through the creation of two portals. One enables suppliers to provide the detailed information requested by Prohire for quotations.  The other is a customer portal giving commercial vehicle operators secure access to the documentation required to prove compliance with industry regulations. Available 24/7 from any location, this facility is especially beneficial to businesses operating multiple sites.
